Ron Mango
Born 1950 in Detroit, Michigan and raised
with his two brothers in a Christian family. Completed his first oil painting at
the age of 13. This painting still hangs in his mothers home in Florida.
Ron began painting to attain "realism". He was once told by
an art instructor in college that his work was "pointless" because a camera
could capture the same scene. Consequently, Ron never received a lesson in art
or painting.
Being self-taught has resulted in several periods or moods
during his 45 years of painting. His realistic period consists mainly of
Landscapes. His most recent period consists of European Street Scapes which are
designed to have a distinct light source with splashes of vivid color. His
Christian period consists of a series of paintings leading up to the celebration
of Easter.
Ron is currently employed as an assistant principal with
Huron Valley Schools and resides with his 3 sons in the Milford area.
